EHS Manager
Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures as needed.
Provide monthly metrics for each department and work with them to identify and correct areas of opportunity in a positive productive manner.Direct activities of the Safety Trainer and the Safety Coordinator to support the plant objectives.
Prepare monthly safety performance reports including 12 month rolling safety chart (includes green card, first aid/near miss trends and recordable incidents), inspection audit summary, corporate metrics.
Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.
Use 5-why’s to investigate all injuries, first aids, near misses and property losses.
Analyze data collected through first aid, near miss, internal/external Audits, green cards, etc to lead corrective actions.
Organize, oversee and track all plant safety training.
File and maintain SDS sheets
Assist in identifying appropriate personal protective equipment for all tasks.
Manage regulatory inspection personnel such as insurance carriers, OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5+ years of safety leadership experience in an industrial setting. (Bachelor's Degree in EHS Management preferred)
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations.
Experience implementing Behavioral Based Safety programs
