We will provide training specific to the optical metrology equipment.<br>Employee must show engineering aptitude and have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.<br>• Develop inspection and test protocols taking into account part geometry/performance, to verify parts meet customer specifications.<br>• Measure components to verify compliance to customer requirements, verify test methods and fixturing.<br>• Analyze and present findings to internal team. <br>• Participate in problem solving teams.<br>• Work with manufacturing teams to analyze inspection data and develop cause/effect (FMEA) information, both for manufacturing processes (molding, diamond turning, CNC machining, tool room, etc.) and specific parts.<br><br>Duties<br>• Support the manufacturing process to meet customer specifications, both for new products and established products.<br>• Perform mechanical measurements on plastic (molded, machined) optical parts using standard dimensional metrology.<br>• Program and perform measurements using a Mitutoyo CMM and OGP Flash 302 (multi-sensor CMM). Will provide programming training.<br>• Perform optical inspection using an interferometer, profilometer and optical bench metrology methods.
